The object of baccarat is to hold two or three cards that equal or are nearest to 9. Aces count as one, and face cards such as Jacks, Queens, and Kings, count as 0. The rest of the cards in the hand count as their stated value. The final totals only total a single digit. An example of this is an eight and a seven would only equal 5.

The dealer will deal out two cards to the player and the dealer. Depending on the cards, the dealer will then deal out a third card to the hand farthest away from 9. After that card is dealt, the hand closest to 9 is the winner.

You are allowed to bet on the dealer, the player, or a tie. The first two are even money bets, and a tie is generally 8 to 1. This game is basically like a coin toss, so if your lucky, bet on your first instinct, if not, bet against it.
