BINGO Bingo Terms BINGO- When a player has covered all the numbers required for that
particular game. When this occurs, your must yell "BINGO!".
Be sure to get the callers attention because if another number is called,
you may have to split the winnings, or may not get anything at all. BLACKOUT- The object of a blackout is to cover all 25 spaces on the card. This is also known as COVERALL. BINGO BOARD- An electronical board that lights up the numbers as they are called. BLOWER- A forced air machine that mixes the bingo balls up. One ball pops out at a time. BONANZA BINGO- These cards are usually sealed when purchased. You
will cover about 50 pre-determined numbers. The caller will then call
additional numbers until someone has a coverall. DAUBER- An ink dispenser that is used for marking (or covering0
numbers on the paper cards.
EARLY BIRD- Games played before the regular session. FREE SPACE- The center space of every card. This is a freebie so cover it before each game that allows you to use it. GAMEBOARD- This is a display that is attached to the bingo board to display the pattern needed to win that particular game. HARD CARD- Old fashioned bingo cards that are covered with chips instead of daubers. MIDNIGHT BINGO- Self-explanatory-Starts at Midnight! MULTIPLE WINNERS- The number people that win will decide the number
of ways the prize is divided in to. PAYOUT- The percentage of sales the halls payout to the players. It is usually 70%. PROGRESSIVE- A jackpot that builds with each session for a particular game played until won. The prize amount (and/or numbers to bingo in) will increase each time. PULLTABS- Usually $1 a ticket. The player usually pulls 5 tabs off to try to win prizes from $1 up to the $100's. **Each tab varies. SESSION- The entire bingo program (lasting around 2 hours). SPECIAL- Games that usually are played with a different set of cards than the pack purchased at admission. SPEEDGAME- A coverall that is called very quickly. It is sold as a special game one card at a time. TEXAS BLACKOUT- Another coverall with the exception that the game
will begin by covering either the odd or even numbers on the special
card. WILD NUMBERS- A number that is announced at the beginning of the game. The player should cover all numbers ENDING in that number. EX. The caller says 75- Cover every number ending in 5. (5,15,25,35,45,etc.)
